1st time out in 2 wks., these were our best.
We were away at the family get-together in Colorado. (Scotty, Mike and Bri say HI) After catching up on things we were finally able to get out today, 8/11. It was slow but we ended up with a mixed bag, LM, crappie and a YP. The reason I said slow was because 5 of the 7 LM were caught in a 45 minute period. These were our best, smallest being 18".

Nice to catch a little of everything sometimes! Those bass look healthy in those pics. Nice work! No fish pics from Colorado?

In closing, I drove out and back, a little over 4000 miles in six days and when it came to fishing, being in my 70's at an altitude close to 9000 ft. I'm no longer into steep banks some times a hundred feet or so high and that is why the canal was so enticing. I know that I could do it if it were 19 years ago when at 55 my youngest son, now 43, climbed a mountain out there starting at 9500 ft (that's the altitude that my kids lived at) to the summit at about 13,200 ft. and not a gradual climb. In the end, although the trip was very memorable, I was very happy to get back home to do some bass fishing. PS: I also found out that I can't handle the altitude like I once did but can throw a football with my grandson for thirty minutes down at 6000 ft.
