NJ Fish & Wildlife just released 20,000 walleye fry into the Delaware near Worthington State forest. With luck these little guys will grow up to help support the ecology of the Delaware River and provide ample fishing opportunities in the future!

Do they do any stocking of larger walleye? Im wondering if most of the big walleye we see come from these stockings vs the larger stockings they do.

Based on the stocking summaries it looks the D only gets excess fry

Very cool. If you didn't mention they were walleye, in the first picture I would have thought they were salt water spearing. That's about the average size walleye I've been catching this spring!

They sure grow up big and strong there!
One night I was fishing somewhere around there, and a guy downriver of me hooks a monster eye. He was hollering as if this was a 10lb fish. Immediately gets in his car and leaves.

I think there is natural reproduction in the river as well.
