![]() Late start, after repairing ignition problem on the Roosters, Tom and I went out in the heat of the morning looking for the elusive Fluke. Started at the breakwater then moved to the Shrewsbury Channel finding no fish. At the end of the tide moved to the Knoll and waited for that end of tide bite that never came. Number #1 Can at Point of the Hook I landed a skinny 18” Fluke in an area that is 10 foot deep flowing to 40 feet deep.
Near Sandy Hook Channel I picked up a spike Weakfish and the Sea Robins took over. There were only a couple doggies and one Clearnose Skate.Back into harbor at noon where we fueled up with gas that was $3.49/gal. Pete

![]() We put in at Keyport and worked our way towards Atlantic Highlands . No bite at all for like two hours ,then managed some shorts and sea robins . Found one keeper that wanted out've the heat and into the cooler . It was way off .
