Keyport Seahawk - Got what we came for! Quality > Quantity
Finally the weather matched our schedule to get out on these big stripers! It wasn't fast and furious action, but the quality was there. And they were feisty! I've landed bigger stripers but the one pictured may have given me the best fight a striper has ever given me...really tough to control and it almost got me on the engine when i barely got my stubby arms over it haha.
And for good measure a whale was in the area as well and did a straight up verticle breach, mouth open, which i had never seen in person. We also did some blackfishing, but that was slow as well. we only caught 8 in a few hours (5 on jig, 3 on bait rig) with one nice jigged keeper fortunately (18")...not sure how opening weekend will go, but so far it's been slow for us. Smaller stripers 19-29" started pushing bait the the surface at the end of the day and we proceeded to land a handful more on various lures. Fun way to end the day after nabbing some quality fish in the morning.

Weird camera. The first picture looks photo shopped. The aura around the guy and the OB tilted up
