Tough NJ Troutin’!!! 11/4
Everything is still flooded pretty badly up north and west as of yesterday. Had to search high and low to get a bite and I was pressed for time. Found 3 WTS’s that we’re running clear like they never saw the rain. Managed to spank 10-12 wild Browns and losing an absolute monster in a micro creek. Crazy what swims upstream sometimes. TOGHT LINEZ!!!
P. S. Watch out boys and girls. There’s a monster Niagara Falls Brown Trout report coming from JDTuna and Chris!!! Hahahahahaha!!!!

Can i ask you a question.. I was trying to fish that exact lure last weekend and I kept getting my reel all bailed up because what i think is there is no weight behind it and it doesnt cast far. How are you setting it up? What am i doing wrong because i really want to fish that in my local river/streams but had to ditch it because i was getting to frustrated undoing knots in line Thanks for help and awesome fish man |

Re: Tough NJ Troutin’!!! 11/4
Mmmm brownies. Good size on that WTS brownie. Thanks for the warning on the upcoming Jd+Chrisper report lol.
@lendawg 2 lb mono solves the issue with light lures. With higher lb test , the lure isn't heavy enough vs the line to pull the line taught 4 lb might be ok too. Make sure it's good quality line and it's spooled on nicely. Sporting life on rt 22 can get it on real tight for you with their spooling machine. |

I use a 100 series reel, 5.5 light action rod and 4# test vanish and can throw trout magnets fine.

3lb P-line Fluoro ice. Hard to find in stores. I order mine online. Make sure that line is spooled on that reel properly. The line I use is super tough but needs to be changed like once a year. I chuck those magnets and smaller jigs with ease. Good luck dude!!!

Re: Tough NJ Troutin’!!! 11/4
Saw some of Justin and Chris's browns....insane. They might actually be too big to post! The two amigos had another incredible trip to big fish waters, put the time and effort in and the results speak for itself. Just goes to show how many dynamic fisheries there are and trophy fish exist within a relatively short radius of this area.
Great job guys.....as usual you outdid yourselves and made a lot of people on this site jealous. Just be careful starting your cars every morning, this is getting out of hand......haha! |

Re: Tough NJ Troutin’!!! 11/4
hook that lure to a tree and walk out a casting distant and give it a nice stretch before you fish each time, it should take out all the curls, if it doesn't than it's time to change the line!
