What are you looking to spend? The absolute best would probably be a stella, but they are $700+

Shimano Stella..............although, probably a waste of money for fluke fishing. The the shimano sustain.............a more frugal reel at around 275.

Surprised no one metioned weight. You do not need more than 14oz reel for bucktailing fluke. I use a 7' St. Croix rod w/ a 10-to-11oz Pfluegger reel.
Backup reel is a Shimano 4000 series that weighs 13.7oz.
My alternate outfit is a 7-1/2' St. Croix baitcaster w/ a Abu-Garcia 5500C that weighs only 9.5oz.

If your bucktailing or doing any kind of fluking you really should use a conventional reel. It allows you to easily drop the bait back on finicky fluke and drop back if you need to as the drift can sometimes be very fast. You can keep in contact better with the bottom. I usually leave the reel in free spool with my thumb on the spool to control how much line i let out. Any questions contact me here.
