the Ice is gone, the dam is closed and the lake is filling. There is a ABA tournament there tomorrow 4-6-14 out of Lee's park. Should be interesting to see how they do. The water is still low for launching a boat yet.

I was just there today. Not to fish but just to check out my dock and stop by the marina to see when they can launch my boat. The ice is all gone and the water is about 15 inches from being full. Stopped by a friends and he has been doing good on the crappies from shore. He will most likely be launching his boat this week and then trying for stripers...Charlie

Very last minute on a whim I drove out to Hopatcong and fished for an hour at dusk from shore. Had a 15 min flurry of 5 white perch. No crappie but should have got there earlier.

Speaking of Lee's, they upped the launch fee from $18 to $20 this year... other than the State park, anyone know any marina that is cheaper?

Try Flash Marina, on the very north end of the lake. I didn't launch on LH last year, but, I think it was only $16 two years ago up there.

man, that sucks. it went from $15 to $18 just last year didn't it? jumping from $15 to $20 in two years is ridiculous for a county run ramp
