I just got done watching this & it's very sad to see. I saw John Bullard totally offering no answers for all the people who he put out of business. Still strongly suggesting that the Cod Stocks are in danger. I guess dogfish is the answer I guess maybe the next thing for us will be lets see who's dogfishing tomorrow. If you got Hulu you can see it I think it's a must see for fisherman. I'm glad I was lucky enough to live in a time when we could fish. I'm getting older & the unfair regulations today are being used as a weapon against all fisherman. I really do feel that NOAA needs to be regulated & it's chairman be replaced with a person who is more qualified. The problem lies with the people make the decisions. Make fair rules that all fisherman can respect not the ones that are being made today.

I guess they need to drain the swamp of the filthy bureaucratic govt. employees. This nation is doomed after 40 years of liberalism and the beilief that govt. can take care of everything. Most young adults graduating college these days believes socialism is a better form of govt. then capitalism. Amazing what you can do with 40 years of liberal indoctrination. I agree with your opinion... One thing you must keep in mind however.
Right here on this very site there are long standing members that are held in high regard by most that agree wholeheartedly with NOAA , NMFS, NJDEC and whoever else makes the rules.. They applaud increased surveillance by the USCG, DEC, Marine Police etc,and are happy when boarded and checked.

There are MANY people from every corner of the political spectrum who still utter that famous phrase that has sent chills down my spine for decades..

As with most things, follow the money. Those who exploited any fishery are the ones who made money (commercial). Recreational anglers have limited impact on any fishery.

Watch the Documentry there are less then 60% of the commercials fishing today.It's not a very profitable buisness add up the numbers they are very far from getting rich. I think we both recreationals & commercials have to get on the same page were more powerful as a group. I think everyone who's making the decisions that are putting people out of buisness should be held accountable . Were just asking for fair regulations everybody here can agree that we do have a very good fishery out there right now. All were looking for is a way to reap some of the benefits from it.
