Default Obsession Stripers and Tog

Me, JJ Mike, Jake and Sven started out mid morning on Saturday looking for Stripers in Raritan Bay and then switched over to Tog.

Ran around a bit looking for birds but from what I heard they were up early and very scattered by the time we arrived on the scene. A few dipping here and there but not enough to set up and cast on. Good thing I brought the trolling poles. Set out Chrome and Chartreuse Bunker Spoons and Tim and Jake had 2 quick fish on the TGT Tackle Chartreuse between 25 and 30 pounds.

Lots of boat traffic in the area and the day was wearing on so we headed down the beach and set up on a piece we fished a few days earlier. By that time the wind had picked up out of the SSW and it was fairly lumpy. The current was running the opposite direction of the wind building 2 and 3 footers that were very tight. With only one anchor we were pitching and swaying a lot on the hook. Mike got dialed in despite the conditions and probably had 8 Togs. Jake and Tim, well lets just say they struggled

As for me, I sat on my butt enjoying the sun and a few frosties, encouraging Mike and riding Jake and Tim like broken bikes

All in all a decent day and nice to be on the water.
