Reel Class Tuesday 7/19 -- Porgies-Seabass-Triggers REPEAT
Today we had my old friend Danny, his dad, buddy, and 3 boys out for a meat trip. The crew opted to bypass fluking so we took the ride for the porgies.
Again, the porgies didn't disappoint. Started out slow, then once we got on them it was drop and reel fishing for hours until the guys filled the box with their limit as well as 2 keeper seabass and 3 nice triggerfish. We fished until we burned up the 2 bushels of clams we had on the boat, catching and releasing until lunch time then we a nice ride back home. On a sidenote, Today the porgies were even bigger than Sunday, we had MANY 2-3#ers and a few real true slab/shad porgies that pulled drag like a nice tog. Great trip with a great crew - the kids had a blast and were into fish all day long!!
