![]() I came out my door 5am Saturday morning to go to my jeep and there in the road between me and my jeep is a nice size bear. Well I do have my cane so I keep walking and he moves. Not uncommon for where I live. Well now the fishing it was great a lot of crappies perch and some nice size white perch also. I have to figure out how to post pictures. For anyone who has followed any of my post my surgery for my back is getting held up by the insurance company seems they dont care I can only walk 30ft. But it will work out and I was at the lake with my son 2 weekends in a row all is good.

![]() Keep the faith Bill, insurance companies are the definition of necessary evils. They love you when it's time to make your premium payments but make a claim! So I guess if you walk out of the house and see a bear that's a good omen for what's to come fishing! Think I'd rather have a slow day!
Best of luck again with your personal situation and if you have to hire an attorney, insurance companies have no souls! Best! |

![]() it takes a dedicated person to put up with back pain and go fishing.its good to hear you and your son had a good time.i wish you a speedy recovery, as far as the big black raccoon is concerned that cane wouldn't do much if it was in a bad mood especially with a bad back.be careful and god bless.

![]() Best to you and your son. And a full recovery. Fishing is the healthiest thing I do, and last I had an MRI, the surgeon said my spine was in the worst shape with herniated disks he'd seen in 20 years. I guess I'm a stubborn sort. His foregone conclusion, of course: I need surgery. This more than two years ago. I decided to get an epidural done instead, and for two years had no more trouble, though I figured only a matter of time. Lots of trouble recent, but I roll with it. Just yesterday I slipped off the aluminum boat seat, and to avoid breaking my favorite fishing rod--underneath me--arched my back...which just about threw it out completely, but I sort of juiced it into OK form & I'm still bending in and out of trouble, avoiding anything serious.
Feed that back awareness. It's something to live with, and otherwise, I hope the surgery really returns you to normal.
