Mercury can kma ! Im tired of this piece of junk engine. Mercury 225 efi , replaced fuel lines cleaned out throttle body , replaced shift switch , new plugs new stator , new trim switch , cleaned map sensor , regulator , newer altinator , still runs like crap and intermittant ....throwing money out the window on this junk motor , never buy mercury again !!

Have you called mercury to open a claim with them ?
they puta tech in vharge when i had issues and they found the issue in hours a good tech had spent weeks on.

Not yet , im gonna try my uncles spot in pt pleasant supposedly he is a merc expert , but then again i hear everyone is an expert (yeah right! ) it pisses me off that these supposed mechanics charge a fortune , and cant figure out shat ! I just stopped payment on the last mechanic for charging me 500 to tell me it was a stator , replaced the stator with a brand new one and it didnt make a difference ...

they can all be trouble, doesnt matter the brand. Is it a bluelabel saltwater edition EFI? alot of guys stay away from those motors they can be real problems from what I hear

I redid all grounds today no difference anothe 40 bucks out the window!! The only thing left to do is unbolt it about 5 miles out and call seatow

I swear by Anglers in Sea Bright. NEVER had a repeat or return in 4 engines over the past 30 years.

Used to use a Mercury Dealer/guy in Rumson and brought motor back 3 times the same summer for the same thing.
