![]() The rules apply in federal waters. NJ sets its own rules for its own waters. But the feds can change the rules if it determines a state isn't adequately protecting a stock.

![]() Just to be clear, if you're planning on bringing your boat back to a NJ port, you had better be in compliance with NJ regs, no matter what the federal ones are.
