Spring Quincy Flounder!!!
Hard to believe-in just two months we will be fishing again! After this brutal winter, I can't begin to tell you how much I will love being on the water again... And like last winter, I am hoping this weather is doing a good job at keeping the draggers on their docks and off the flounder populations. That is what happened in 2014 and the fishing was GREAT!
In case you don't know, Little Sister will be fishing two trips a day in May, June and July out of Quincy. 6-11am and noon-5pm. Charters are $450 for up to 4 persons and $75 each for a 5th and 6th person (6 people=$600-). Open Boat trips are Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6-11 and they are $115/person. Thursdays have a "regular crowd" and Tuesdays generally have more availability. Little Sister is offering 1/2 price for the 1st woman AND the 1st child to reserve on Tuesday's open boat trips For open boat, reservations are a must). The intent is to lock up the woman's and the juniors divisions for flounder in The Massachusetts Saltwater Fishing Derby. We only got the men's and juniors last year (Thank you Scott and Diesel!) and this year we want the clean sweep! The last weekend of March is The MSBA Saltwater Fishing Show and I will be there in my own booth. Well it's not my own, I'm sharing it with Nick Cicero of The Tsunami Tackle Corp. The show will be in Hanover, Ma and is sure to be a blast. If you can make it, be sure to stop by my cage/booth and say hello! Lastly, my friend Kevin Cheung put together a slide show with 50 pictures out of the 100's from the past two seasons. Flounder, black fish, fluke, blues and sea bass made the parade and after seeing it, I see we forgot to represent the scup, bonito, false albacore, cunners, lobsters, sculpins and more that I want you to know, I haven't forgotten! Take a look: http://youtu.be/wPz_zA4AL-8 Thank you Kevin!!! If anyone has a question that I can help with, please do not hesitate to ask! Remember, as The Twisted Sisters (Karen, Susan and Lorie) say: "Good things come to those who bait"! Re: Spring Quincy Flounder!!!
Ladies and Gents,
Going by last year and the great fishing we had following the aweful winter, I am expecting this spring flounder season to be the best since I've been up here! Actually, it has been getting better and better every year (with one exception) and I hope as many of you get to experience it as possible. It really is something special when any fish can be 4 or more pounds! Captain Jason
