Default Wreck Numbers

There was a NJ Fishing member who listed that he had wreck numbers for sale. It seemed like it was part of his posts. If this is you or you know who it is, please reply as I'm looking for the closest spot to get Ling from Raritan Bay.

More than likely someone was pulling your leg. If not you can buy a chart, which has all kinds of wrecks/numbers.

Why "PAY" for them and(probably get screwed)when you could buy a chart, search around and earn them like everyone else?? That's half the fun of owning a boat and becoming a Fishermen....not a user.

Exactly. If I only knew the countless hours myself and wreck fishing buddies have spent doing homework... sorting through old hang logs, loran books, reading dive books, calibrating loran #'s from a single loran to a single gps, gathering information from various sources and trying to piece "2 and 2" together by reading between the lines to gather information about secret wrecks... and then the hours and fuel spent searching for many of these pieces, often in vain. But the excitment of finding a new piece off the beating path is perhaps an ever better feeling than the fishing itself!

Thank you. I knew I've seen it many times. To those that offered help, thanks a lot. To those who offered criticism, I have plenty of my own spots and numbers found like everyone else but all are within a few miles of shore, but running a 23' boat out of Keyport, I was looking to "buy" a good lead or two.

Suggestion... Try to trade your honey holes for another's honey hole.

Many , like myself, do that all the time. But its a Quid Pro Quo. You give you get. And it's private between the two captains.
