Default 8-8 Lindy

Did a day troll, got there before dark and started to do the night troll thing. Nothing. Worked away from the small fleet that was there at the time and landed a 35lb YFT. Shortly after, landed a 4 foot Barracuda, yes a Barracuda on a Joe Shute. Perfectly hooked and not a ding in the lure or leader. Stayed away from the fleet. Had a steady pick. Went a total of 4 for 7 on YFT, 3 we kept between 35-60lbs, one was legal but not by much and we let it live for another day. Released a white and broke another white off when the outrigger clip failed. Decided to work over towards the fleet. Saw whales, porpoise, WMO boats trolling and boats chunking. Worked the area until 1230. Decided to head in, cleaned up one rod at a time. I turn to to reel in last line when outrigger clip pops, fish on. Line just peeling off, 45 minutes or so later, we have our Bigeye in the boat. After being bled and weighed, came in at 206.5lbs. Opened our eyes when we realized that fish would have won the WMO. Fantastic day out, our crew consisted of a bunch of guys who had never tuna fished before, just a fantastic day to be out. And they were in awe of the fight the Bigeye

Nice work... That Bigeye probably would have been worth a few hundred thousand at the White Marlin Open....Only a few Whites that qualified last time I looked too.. You guys certainly had things dialed in.
