Talking Miss Belmar - Blues, bonito & albies!

Friday night, we fished South of the inlet. Fishing started out slow and got better as the night went on. Some people caught a few, while others caught their limits, and everyone had some fish by the end of the night. Those who brought their own light spinning rods did the best as the blues were small. It was definitely one of the better trips we have had here at night in awhile. Our pool winner was a tie between Kurt Hassler from Levittown, PA and Brian Gannon of Washington, NJ.

Saturday night, we fished south of the inlet again. The blues were small but plentiful and most anglers all had their limits. We also caught a fair amount of bonito as well. Jose Torres from Rockaway, NJ won the pool with a 3 lb bonito.

Saturday and Sunday morning, we had super fishing. Both days we started out East of Shark River Inlet out on the hills and caught blues, along with bonito and some small albies mixed in.

This morning, we continued East of our inlet. Fishing was a little slower today than it has been, however, we still caught the blues along with bonito. At the end of the day we got a report of possibly some larger blues North of our inlet so tomorrow we will do a little looking around to find them.
