![]() I was kayaking off of great kills this morning. A huge, and surprisingly quick turtle was popping around me all morning. It was quite an experience.
I hope no one runs it over. It is much harder to spot in the bay than the ocean due to the murky bay water.. Fishing was slow 20+ shorts in 3 hours And an inspection from new York's finest - glad I tossed back 2 fish that were 17.99999" Only 18 + for m Was boarded out by the hook and checked by my car this year as well |

![]() I saw a turtle there last week as well. I said the same thing about the murky water and being able to see him.
Were you in GK when they checked you? |

![]() I was out on a AH party boat last week and someone on the bow hooked onto a huge sea turtle. It must of been at least over 100 lbs. It surfaced a few times before the hook let loose and away it swam !! This all happened on the west side of the ammo pier! Not sure if the one you saw was the same one but they are in the bay that's for sure!
