Default Bassin

Met with Pop on Tuesday at the D &R canal, put the boat in, go 100 ft and nail a nice 2 lber, tell Pop. looks like it is going to be a good day, Pop says, doubt it, trolling motor is on fire. Totally fried, try to row against the current and wind, hell with that, so we walked the bank with no luck, finally packed it in and headed for a tiny local private pond, picked up about 1/2 doz each, mostly typical jersey bass, you know the ones, 11.9 inches, still had a good time with my dad, all bass caught on spinners except 2 lb er caught on a spinnerbait

Good thing you had oars. Last week I had to tow a dad and his young daughter back to the launch because their battery died and he didn't have oars.

Sounds like a nice day except for the motor. You made the best of a bad situation with that catch tho.

BTW I think the motors can be fixed fairly easily. All I know is that I had a fried Minn Kota and posted it on Freecycle and must have had 20 people email me the first day asking for it. I can't imagine that much interest in a fried motor unless fixing them is reasonably cheap and easy.
