44" Pike
After 3 days of getting skunked the pike finally decided to eat in the rain this morning. I had gone 3 days without a flag and got my first at 7:45 this morning. The fish took a herring in 3' of water and was a decent fish at 37" 14lbs. At 11:45 I got my 2nd flag of the day and I knew it was a giant as soon as I saw it. After a few runs and some violent head shakes I landed her, my new PB pike at 44" 23lbs. She took a 10" dead fallfish right off the bottom of 7' of water. What a start to the season!

Re: 44" Pike
Fish of a lifetime congrats! I'm just curious do you ever fish that area during months of open water? Looks like it would be a blast

Re: 44" Pike
Beast Alert! Amazing fish man. Would you say these big Pike prefer a big dead bait in the winter over something still swimming?
