Default LH Walleye 9/28

Got the chance to do some late afternoon jigging with my buddy FastEddie today. Was on the water around 4pm to beautiful weather and a lot of boat traffic. Jigged our tails off in deeper water and played with downlined herring, but couldn't make it happen. Managed to jig up one good looking 20.5" Walleye to break the skunk. Fish came in about 30fow. Was hoping for some Hybrids, but the constant boat traffic and wake on a sunny late-September day was too much to overcome! A few pics...

Thumbs up Re: LH Walleye 9/28

Marked a ton of fish on bottom, suspended all over the place but they Just weren't chewin. Thanx for coming out and catching that Walleye, good times, good fish. Catching that fish makes approximately 10,000 trips in a row on my boat with at least one fish coming aboard to avoid the SKUNK!!! Get em good next time, gona have to get out there early! My boat never fills up with water but today it did, pull the plug and waters flowing out like a waterfall! Took too many waves this evening.

I hate the YAHOOS!!!!! TiIGHT LINEZ!!!!!

After seeing the yahoo's in action on a very blowey LH a couple of weeks ago I'm with you 110%
That's why I like 9.9 or electric only lakes.
I'm surprised there are not more boating mishaps at LH.

That walleye looks just like the one on your hat! Way to beat the skunk on a tough day.

Still haven't figured out if it's a Walleye or Zander lol.

good job boys, way to put a fish in the boat skunk. The lake was hot all last week and now its ICE COLD. Theres a mild turnover going on, there was a slight thermocline over the summer months in 40+ FOW. I would stay off LH if you plan on fishing til the hybrid weekend, theres green scum and weeds floating everywhere, its not gonna be good for at least a week. I fished the weekend and we had a tough weekend with only a few fish caught, slowest weekend of fishing for me
