Boogie Night........
Well I was back at it again tonight. Went to my local spot for a few hours this evening cause seemed like weather was changing a little and the bite might be on. Tonight I tried something a little different than my usual spinnerbait. I decided to go with a Boogie Bait hoping it was going to be a little more weedless. Don't fish it all that much but any fish I catch are better sized so dedicated the night looking for some hawgs. I started making way down the shore line and bang! Hooked up but not fighting much then I see why, a nice crappie! LOL !!! Couldn't believe it but true! So back at I bang out two smaller largemouths. So got a few fish but not the one i'm lookin for. Coming down the last stretch of shoreline before the dock I get a hit and I come tight, feeling like i'm reeling in a tire except it's pulling back!
She's coming to the boat and launches clear out of the water and next thing I know my line goes slack!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I reel my bait in and the fish actually snapped the trailer hook off the bait!
After about five Long minutes of misery I start throwing it again bang, hooked up again with a nice one but not the one I was hunting. Here's a couple pics of the crappie and the last largemouth of the night.
