Lake Hopatcong trout stocking:

On Saturday, March 30th 2013 the Knee Deep Club of Lake Hopatcong will conduct it's annual spring Trout stocking. The club will float stock over 1000 Trout ranging in size from 12 to 20 inches. The Trout are being purchased by the club from Musky Trout Hatchery in Asbury N.J. The stocking will take place from Dow's Boat Rental located on Nolan's Point, Lake Hopatcong.The fish are scheduled to arrive at 3PM and will be stocked into the lake by a fleet of patio boats. The public is invited to participate in this event. In addition a 25 to 26 inch Trout will tagged and stocked that afternoon with a bounty of $100.00 for the club member who catches this fish during the club's Trout Contest scheduled for April 21, 2013.

andy do you know if the states stocking info is correct for LH? At the last meeting it was mentioned the state was doing 3 stockings this year all after opening day, only our club trout were going in before the 6th. The states site shows like 6k pre opening day being stocked, I wonder who is right?
