Where do you guys have your Newells serviced? I've got a 229-5 from the 90s - works beautifully, but is due for some preventative maintenance. Thanks!

Preventive maintainence on these reels is pretty straightforward. You can do it yourself. Go to www.alantani.com for a walk through step by step tutorial. If you don't think you'd like to take it on, they also do the pm service for a reasonable fee. But, you'd have to ship the reel to California, and have it returned from there as well. So, if time is an issue there are capable sponsors who I'm sure can help you. Good luck!
