![]() I came across a new but obviously old stock reel that I had and never even knew. It must have been in my attic for years. I got a question, would this make a decent reel for sea bass jigging? The 113 has 2:1 ratio but that shouldn't matter on a jigging rod, right?

![]() IMHO the reel is too slow and too heavy to be holding all day.

![]() old school but , all the cranking power you could ask for. the key is matching it up with a rod that balance`s. . Why go bear hunting with a switch?

![]() I have 2 113h reels I use when I make it out for mudhole trips but they are 3.7 retrieve. 2.1 is a lot of cranking to check your bait but if the doggies and eels are thick you can bring them up easy.

![]() It will work but the low gear ratio is going to kill you. Something with a 4:1-6:1 ratio will serve you much better!
