I'm a deckhand on a NS and we just got one.. I love it, and on top of its performance, it looks great! Ill most likely get a personal one someday when money permits.

Action on a fluking stick is just as important as what you place on the other end! I have watched many fish drop, due to the wrong action on the rod!

I picked up a blank 2 years ago and its my go to rod for anything under 12ozs. Not sure if its the same exact one or not, but I can dead stick the rod and it will out fish most of the guys on the boat!

Kevin has some sick sticks he is talking about here, worth a try!

Tom, very good points, I'll go out on a limb and guess it's a medium tapered blank, one that can fish out of the rod holder, keep the fluke busy until you get there. Taper, not material plays the biggest role in a good performing rod.
