![]() Now have 4 hook options for the tile jigs in the shop. From a thinner fixed hook, heavy duty fixed, swing hook on a swivel to this assist style hook, made up of VMC 7264 Hook on 600# Kevlar.

![]() Have a few ways to do it, but I would hope that some of our tile fishermen will jump on here and give you some more info.
Most of my customers who are using these jigs are using them as the sinker, and catching fish on them, rather than the bait on the hook. I know many guys feel that the swivel will cause problems, but IMHO, a small Power Swivel on my bucktails has always felt like I get more action out of the jig and avoid the line twist, compared to a loop. I use power swivels and have never had any line shy issues from fish. I actually like to use the new T - Turn Swivels, made by the company who makes the Viper Spoons. They eliminate twist and offer a better set up for teasers. In this case, I will use a loop for the biggest jig, rather than a coast lock swivel. ![]() Maybe some of our deep drop fishermen can help out some more here?? |

![]() Tiles, grouper, tuna, striped bass and now some flat fish from up north!! These fish laying on the deck were caught using 32oz Jigs yesterday!
The popular hook choice has been the VMC 7264 Jigging Hook on Kevlar, over the fixed hook and swivel hook models. Almost all return customers are placing double their their initial order. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
