Default South Branch Smallmouths

Used Neds to get a few Smallies here last few days and they seemed to favor the Zman PBJs 2.75 inch… Using the lighter 1/10 ounce jig heads helps avoid snagging rocks on the bottom. Casting across the river and letting the current bounce the Ned downstream was the ticket. No bites slow dragging it back in..

Nothing bigger than 12 inches but a lot of fun on ultralight rod and fighting the river currents.

Man I love Smallie river fishing.

Thumbs up Re: South Branch Smallmouths

Gotta love the feisty local Smallies. They endure a lot with the changing waters levels, droughts and floods.
