Default First Tuna Trip was a Good one 220BFT

First tuna trip of the season on Tony’s Contender and it was a good one. It starts off with a solid crew and then finding all the life and good signs off shore. An hour into fishing and we were tight. Thankfully it hit the right rod, thanks to buddy Ty for lending his brand new setup from Joey’s Rods and the high quality Horse Ballyhoo from Bait Boyz. Great team work, Paul on the rod, Tony on the wheel, Al with the gaff and me with the Harpoon. Within a half hour tails up with a 72” Bluefin tuna at 220lbs.

We were out yesterday, Bacardi area, we heard of one yellowfin caught in the entire fleet. Lots of whales and dolphins, we caught a shark.
