Default Bayshore Beaches

Been sidelined with an injury since July, so took the dog for a ride through Leonardo to Keansburg today and the cocktail blues were crashing peanuts and adult bunker at ever spot I stopped. Would push the bait in and then out of casting range. No bass in the mix but a lot of smiling faces on the kids and guys throwing top water.

I'm new to saltwater fishing and I'm trying to learn the game. I have off from work tomorrow and plan on heading down to Sandy Hook area. Any tips on lures (sizes, colors, etc) or anything else that might help me out?

They are all over the tip of the Hook from the nude beach around to bug light.

Just about anything you throw will get hit. They are gorging on all the spearing in the wash.

Even had some micro kingfish in the mix.

Well I headed down to Sandy Hook yesterday only to find the park closed. I got there at 6am and the officer at the booth was turning cars away. He told me there was emergency training and park maintenance going on. He said he was not informed about it until midnight before.

I headed down Deal area to try and fish around the rocks but when I got there the area was loaded with surfers.

I ended up heading back into Raritan bay and played with some small blues.
