Tiny Trout
Spent a fun afternoon yesterday at a trout-stocked creek that was LOADED with rainbows. Only issue was, they were remarkably small! I actually had a tough time catching a few over the 9" size limit that I could keep. The fish are much smaller than in years past. Does anyone know anything about why the trout are so small this year?

My guess is since they released almost all of the allocated trout for this year already some may have been a little early with a few weeks left to grow at the hatchery .
Have you done any fishing at your cabin on the lake yet?

Fish are definitely missing that feeding time at the hatchery. I caught some super dinks in the Passaic a few weeks ago. Perfect bait size in my opinion.
