Coopers Pond in Bergenfield Tips/Report 5/21/19
Headed over to the Coopers Park Pond in Bergenfield off of Church Street, Very nice little park.
I arrived at the bank near the little creek bridge and saw a bunch of Spawning Bass and A family of Carp, I tried throwing a Football head jig black/blue fleck for a bit, no hits but the fish were definitely there and Bass were chasing sunfish but didn't seemed interested in anything, also tried a senko watermelon with red flake and only got a hit near the big fountain. Does anyone have and tips on how to catch the bass in here? Maybe some different lures to use etc? |

Go at sunset or after dark and throw a topwater. We have been getting a few at night while walleye fishing.

They stocked it a few years ago with bass, minnows and sunfish, but the place is still overrun with carp still. Try go to ng this time of year and you'll always see a few bass chasing sunfish and spawning near the little generator between the bushed
