Thumbs up Raritan river 5/9/18:

Bounced around Robert St, Headgates and Orlando Park, only one LMB to show for my efforts. Ran into Uncle Ken and company around noon, they did well.
Stocking truck paid a visit to the river today. Water is low and clear.

That's a small mouth bass in your photo not a LMB.

That's me with my Smallie...Ha! Saw Andy out on his favorite river yesterday as he said. That was my only fish of the day but it was a nice one at least. My buddy up from NC had 2 LM and 3 Smallies so it was good for him and the whole point of the outing. All on green pumpkin 4 inch senkos t rigged weightless.

He had to leave around 2 and getting only one fish was buggin me so I headed to the SB for a couple more hours and ended up with 3 more smallies and my first Rock Bass of the year. One of the SM came on a Rebel Popper which was a sweet. The other two were on a green pumpkin ned rig. I felt better after that.

And yes that is a stocking truck...it showed up right after Andy left! Some nice sized fish were getting put in there boys.

I've seen them back there with large nets and coolers netting everything they could including eels and lamprey. Very sad.
