IFISSH 1st Class
Attended via webinar, thought it went really well. Some of it was just the intro to what the class is going to bring but other stuff, like lesser known history of some NJ fisheries was very interesting! Curious to know what other peoples' thoughts were on the class last night for those that went/listened? Looking forward to learning more in the coming weeks.

Re: IFISSH 1st Class
I attended the class in Toms River. I'm not sure how many participated on line but there were maybe 40 at the class. Most identified as recreational anglers but there were a handful of commercial anglers as well.
I thought it was interesting and well organized. Both presenters, Dr. Zemeckis and Dr.Bochenek in addition to being scientists are also anglers themselves. I found both presentations to be interesting but since I am a history buff, I enjoyed Dr. Bochenek's History of Fishing in NJ presentation the best. Most interested to learn that the Dutch started whaling in Delaware bay and off of Cape May long before whaling started in New England. Before the Europeans showed up the Leni Lenape fished for sturgeon in NJ waters.
