I used a pair of green cabela's chest waders for over 15 years before they actually sprung an extremely mild leak. They were used in salt and sweet and saw some pretty epic hikes through heavy cover. I still use them when I'm trucking thru the muddy banks of the passaic and even used them last winter while trout fishing. Def got the value out of them. I've moved to their neoprenes for winter now--boot foot. You def dont need as many layers w/ the neoprenes. Some under armour cold gear and wool socks and your set as a base.

I'm sure I'll eventually move up to something like Simms but for now, the cabela's neoprenes certainly serve their purpose quite well. Esp for $120.

Until 5 years ago, I had a pair of boot foot neoprene Cabela's waders that I used for about 15 or so years. They were great. They finally sprung a leak and I replaced them with a new set of Cabelas neoprenes. Unfortunately the new ones sprung leaks after a year and a half. I don't know if it was a case of bad luck, or things not being made the same as years ago. That's why I switched to LL Bean because of their warranty.

So I ordered my waders. Thanks for all the advice! I ended up going with a breathable pair of waders from Dicks and got korkers from there as well. I had gift cards from there so that's the main reason I went to them. I will definitely be looking into buying more things from LL Bean in the future due to that warranty. So hopefully ill get my stuff tomorrow or the next day. Any ideas on where to go around middle sec to try them out this time of year? Wouldn't mind doing a little trout fishing. I was thinking Ireland brook.
