Talking Sunday Sea Bass and Tog

Well, one out of two ain't bad. Got some Tog but Sea Bass were scarce.

Me, Joey, Sven and Hugh left the dock at O'dark thirty to beat the crowds and showed up on the SHR just as the sun came up... Plan was to target Tog and be able to keep some of the Knucklehead Sea Bass we've been throwing back fishing crabs the past few weeks.

We fished everywhere from low 20s to low 40s inshore from the reef down to Monmouth. Lots of Toy Tog in the shallower spots and several 5 and 6 pound roasters which seemed to favor the deeper drops. Only 2 keeper size Sea Bass so I guess they moved out into deeper water...

Jigs definatley outfished rigs and I had the hot hand for a change... Joey Dah Fish couldn't catch a cold and is selling all his fishing gear again.

We had the same thing on Saturday, hit a bunch of spots with not much luck. Had a bunch of nice C-Bass off Pier Village. All went back safe for Sunday opener.
