Default mudhole pot hopping

Thinking about taking a run to the mud hole in the vicinity of the BA buoy tomorrow or Wednesday. Would appreciate any feedback on water conditions. Has anyone had any success with catching Mahi in that area yet?

The last sattelite shot I looked at the green water moved in where some bluer water was a few days ago and the water had also cooled down to 71.

Looked at another shot this morning and seems like there's some cleaner water that moved back into the northern parts of the mudhole.

30 miles SE off the tip of the hook today looked fishy. Water was blueish/green but clean with a lot of sargassum and temp was 78 degrees. Def looked like some mahi or wahoo to be found there....saw it on the ride in though and didnt stop...goodluck

So we took a shot. Broke the manasquan inlet at around 5 with my three sons and a friend of theirs. I have a small boat so I don't get too many opportunities to venture far. Conditions were perfect today. So we head toward the BA buoy until we find the pots. Threw some spearing and tossed the buck tails at a number of pots but nobody home. Tried trolling along the pots and that didn't produce either. Went back to tossing the spearing but no luck. Didn't find any life at all in the area. Water ranged from very green to somewhat clear. Went in and bottom fished off long branch. Slow pick but no keepers. Plenty of dolphin put on a nice show. Great day to be on the water with my kids.
