Grateful Dad 6/3
GD regulars Hart Attack Larry and Pete joined me today. headed out of Keyport around 8, it felt more like tog fishing than fluke- cold, rain, a brisk breeze. Working on some intel that I got, we started out right outside the sailboats. We picked away at a few shorts, but it was slow, tried a couple of moves around the shallower parts of the bay, but couldn't put a decent bite together. Returned to the sailboats on our way in, and picked a few more, with Larry finally boxing a keeper. We even tried a couple of drifts in the creek, in front of Keyport pier, and had a little action in there.
I was high hook today, getting all my fish on the Wonder Rig. Bait was definitely preferred over bucktails or Gulp.
Back at it tomorrow.
