Default Manasquan River Bluefish

Was invited out on a friend's boat for some river bluefish action. Tried several spots up river without any action. Made a wiggle and we each missed a fish (mine on a sub surface swimming minnow plug and his on a shad). I finally hooked up solid to land our first fish. Made another wiggle and the action picked up. By now we were both fishing topwater poppers (even though I caught another on the swimming minnow plug). We had them dialed in so instead of drifting we set the hook. For the next hour + both of us either hooked up or had a blow up on every cast. As quick as it started, it was over. Lost count of how many we caught but safe to say it was over a dozen each ranging from #6-13 pounds. Back in the slip by 11:15.
