Fisher Price IV 4/28 AM/PM Stripers
AM- This morning we had Pete and the boys out. Loaded the wells in a few throws. Got set up on some readings, but unfortunately couldn't manage any bites. Bounced around all morning in the fog looking for some fish to eat, but it was one of those days for us that despite the readings the fish had lockjaw and we were unable to come up with anything.
PM- This afternoon we ran our open boat trip. Started off looking in a few new areas with the trolling gear and managed to land a nice fish around 20# but that was it despite more good readings. Moved around all afternoon and could only come up with 1 more keeper for the trip.

Re: Fisher Price IV 4/28 AM/PM Stripers
Thanks for the honest report.
I was out there in the a.m. with a live well full of bunker and I only managed one keeper myself. Since I am a sucker for punishment we kept at it until 7:30p.m. tonight without a another bite until the last reel up and a bluefish took a chunk. It was a long slow day on the water, but that is what makes the good days even better. |
