Smile Mixed bag before work 4-15

Hit the rockaway in boonton township for an hour and caught 4 stockies and 4 smallies on jerkbaits. What has dropped but the fish are still biting. Climax of the day was the one nice smallie that bulldogged me all over. After the bite slowed I checked out a small lake I haven't hit this year and caught a quick largemouth on top water and lost a pig on a jig with craw that broke my heart. I'll get him next time thou. Not a bad way to spend two hours before work.

not in the boonton area, wild trout don't stand a chance with all the fishing pressure and the cormerants are relentless there. the river gets very low in summer months as well..
