Default Ocean Explorer Saturday

2-18-17 Very nice out there today,,The life on the bottom was good...the perch were there and chewing..Kept you at the rail waiting for the right bite,,,,We ended up with just a couple of keeper blackfish,,,handful of shorts....and we did have a handful of nice Codfish in the mix to,,,Mikey also jigged a nice pollock as well....Of course some sharks and eels as well...So depends how you look at the day, some would say it was slow,,,but we caught some nice fish,,not alot, but had alot of life which to me was a good day..Tomorrow looks good to..we are fishing!!See ya then....check out a few pics..

Ocean probably mid forties little wind u don't feel like 60 degrees ! Never go offshore even in summer & expect same as land temps . U can always take clothes off but if u go light can ruin ur day .
Once on a LR trip out of Montauk 26 of us on 140' boat on a four day trip , second day rained heavy most of the day , about a dozen guys who paid over $700 bucks a piece for trip had to sit in cabin for a good part of a decent bite!
Go figure !!
