Decent Togging Friday
Got a bit of a late start and did not arrive on the grounds with Art and Jeff until about 11:30. Slow pick to start but at least we had some life...Made a wiggle here and there to no avail. No one else I spoke to had anythng great going on so we decided to tough it out and hope they'd turn on a bit more.
Went through a long drought without a bite, gave Islander a call to see how his earlier move was going, they had a good bite going so off we went. Fish were pretty agressive there, agressive enough for me to try my hand at jigging again. Landed several keepers on the jig, a lot of fun especially when the fish would pick it up and run with it. We threw back several just over keepers size and kept a dozen Roasters for the table. Perfect day on the water and weather was awesome for mid November.
