Default Sundays weather

So I am running a tog trip for my club, 20 guys Not sure if the boat is a sponsor or not so I don't want to mention the name.. it seems they are calling for winds out of the West, gusts to 45 miles an hour.. I already have guys bailing on this trip because of the weather report for 3 days away..I want to go on this trip and Im sure the captain would never put anyone at risk.. but lets say its only gusts to 20-25 out of the west.. inshore would be ok, right? its a mid size party boat.. I mean it may be a little bumpy but fishable, or am I way off base here? A lot of these guys are fair weather fishermen and are in a panic.. Im still holding out hope.. or shouldn't I ??

They're calling for 25 knot sustained winds...even if the Captain says it's a go, he's going to have a hell of a time keep the boat on the right spot. My guess is that it will be swinging all over the place. Not ideal for blackfishing.

25knt gusts out of the west will be no problem. Tog are still inshore so there are plenty of places to fish within a mile or 2. Start getting a couple miles offshore and it will be bumpy.
If the boat has two anchors then with that wind you will be pinned on the fishing spot and should not move. If there is only 1 anchor then you'll be swinging a lot!

Didn't notice the wind direction in the forecast, therefore, I tend to agree with Togzilla.

If a Gail Warning is issued, you can kiss the trip goodbye. Inshore or not, no respected Captain is going to take you out in that for Way too many reasons....Insurance and Safety of Passengers being the Top Two that come to mind!

I agree wholeheartedly I was just hoping the winds aren't as bad as they are saying.
