Default Keyport Seahawk - Sunday 11/6

Right off the bat, birds were diving in the bay. as we pulled up fish were rolling on them. The fish seemed a little picky after a few casts, i back-lashed my line and while i was picking it out i hooked up with and boated a nice 28.5" keeper haha. After that we had a few 27" fish that had to go back. The fish then started scattering pretty bad and we tried to follow them.

We thought they were picky at first...nothing compared to how they got! Couldn't get them to touch most 'go-to' lures even though they were busting and rolling on the surface, clearly feeding aggressively! matched the bait, smaller, bigger, different colors, actions...probably the pickiest fish i've ever seen while aggressively feeding

Managed to nab one more keeper hopping a smaller shad on the bottom. Sliced it's gill on the hookup so thankfully it was a nice 29" for our second keeper.

The birds and fish were going berserk all around us as the congregated again and all we could do was keep changing lures and trying different tactics pick pick pick with no consistent pattern, ending the day with just 6 fish, but at least 2 nice keepers and a bunch of slot sized fish and only one small striper.

The fish and birds were all but gone by around 10am so we putzed around for a while never seeing anything happen again...called it around noon with the winds really starting to rip.

Heading home over the bridge around 2pm we looked out over the bay and saw a blitz that dwarfed what we had in the morning...we seriously considered going back out haha. not sure if the fish were still acting the same and not much catching was going on or if they changed gears and the guys out there started hammering them...anyone out there for that? let me know!
