Lunchbreak Walk
Took a walk on my lunchbreak around Mill Pond that was supposed to be moved from winter stocking to fall. No signs of trout, but a ton of carp. All looked about the same size, 10 lbs or so. Saw over twenty of them in the 15 minutes I walked. An egret and a herring were in the back shallow part. Couple of cormorants perched on exposed timber in the middle of the lake, 1 more was swimming around. The spring stocking sign was still up...not sure if they actually put them in there or not for the fall? Maybe they did, and just wound up feeding the cormorants an easy meal?

Re: Lunchbreak Walk
Is that the same pond as "Silver Lake" on the maps? If so, then definitely a lot of carp in there (though not too easy to catch from when i tried).

Re: Lunchbreak Walk
Yup, that's the one. The trout stocking signs have "Mill Pond" written on them though. It's the only place that I've seen carp jump fully out of the water. Saw a couple of nice trout caught after the last winter stocking.

Re: Lunchbreak Walk
Guess today was the day. 14 guys fishing it, not much action going on though. Saw a dozen carp, 1 small bass, an egret, cormorant and 2 hawks. A Broad Wing Hawk and a Red Tail flying in close proximity to each other, it was neat to be able to look up and identify the Broad Wing right away compared to the Red Tail. Still only had the spring stocking sign up, though. No notice that it was stocked for fall.
