Default Cedar Grove Reservoir?

Just curious... Has anyone ever fished Cedar Grove Res? (I know its off limits now but has anyone ever fished it prior?) Also, It was recently drained within the past year I believe, did anyone happen to take a look to see what was in there? I heard a few peeps say the Res contained giant Pickeral's and small mouths...

and is there any info regarding Great Notch Res?

Used to fish there all the time when u would just get kicked out. Somewhere along the way some kids drowned or almost drowned and that was it. They put up a new fence and began arresting on site.

There were def some nice fish in there (pickerel & smallies) but, since they drained it, I don't think there's been any effort to restock it. Don't remember seeing any dead fish or groups of feeding birds so im not sure if there was any effort to remove the fish that were there when they drained it??

Ust to fish it when I was young and reckless... great smallies in there...

They drained the lake and transported the fish to another watershed property

They will probably reinstitute new fish or when they are draining an up incoming project transport those fish into empty cedar grove res....one of the two

I can find out..

Just out of curiosity, why would they restock it if u can't fish there? Is it better for the lake to sustain a healthy pop, or just a secret honey hole for the watershed workers, lol?

And the shad/alewives and other small fish reduce the nutrients in the water or something, also removing plankton , making easier to filter
Dunno how true this is, but I remember learning it once upon a time
