Smile Sandy Hook Surf Report

Tough day in the surf yesterday due to a large influx of sea grass...it lasted for hours messing up all of the lines..caught 1 cocktail in the mess and that was all..snappers in the late afternoon wash..caught them and live lined for bigger blues who never materialized...good signs of surf getting better..tough west wind in your face too making casting out hard with 4oz difficult....will be there tomorrow for morning high tide and hoping all has cleared...

It looked clean and clear but was full of ocean grass from beach to 20 feet out..lotsa of garbage too possibly from NYC garbage dumping....the garbage scows are continually out there...

Thumbs down Re: Sandy Hook Surf Report

Just got back from fishing beach @Sandy Hook...wind in your face most of morning and afternoon wind was from south shutting it down...nothing from 5am to 1PM....called it a day...will try Tuesday and hoping the surf calms down...we used bunker and clams but no takers...diamond jig too..
