![]() Long haul of fishing 6 am to 8 pm on the water. Then 2 hour drive home gotta love it. Played with small blues on poppers to start across from great kills. Fished reach channel for two keeper fluke then headed out front for strippers. That is where we spotted whale chilled out in about 40 feet of water, but no stripes. Fisher the channel by Coney island lots of fluke but all short. Ended the day chasing small blues out in front of breezy. Any info on location of stripes. Every time we chunked only dogfight. Some where huge 3.5 to 4 footers. Tight lines to all!

![]() Water warmed up a lot. I think those stripers pushed north. We will see them again in the fall.

![]() Last few summers even with the water temps, some Stipers stuck around practically the whole summer. It's usually a very early morning and a night thing.
Right now and as mentioned above, it's about being in the right place at the right time. Fish come up and feed like it was their last meal and the they shut off like a light switch. The challenge is being there when that happens. Search around, troll while your doing , keep your eyes and ears open and check your PMs ![]()

![]() Tell me about it! Was crabbing Monday in the Shrewsbury and the water temp on incoming tide was in low 80's. Way too hot for June.
