Cranky Monky
4 day weekend for me and I started it off by finishing work on the trailer to get it back to being usable. Dropped in Monksville to see if the boat still floats. Wind was fun today. Trolled with the wind and against it, but no cooperation so I made my way to the sunken forest. Tied up to a tree to hold my spot in that wind but no hits and nothing swimming by so I moved again. Worked the weeds across from the ramp and nailed a nice largemouth. Had a pickerel take a swipe but miss and another pickerel follow but not hit. Wound up with two sunnies and another largemouth. All fish were hunkered down in the weeds, nothing was holding on the banks or moving along the banks like they have been. Crankbait in the open pockets got them. Now I'm in Camden County ready to head east in the morning with Pops for some fluke on day 2 of the 4 day weekend

Re: Cranky Monky
The fish didn't reset by Friday either. Wind was howling, and they were just lazy in the weeds. Got one on board, had two knock downs over about two hours. Thinking that cold system did it
Nice work bagging two, been slim up there for a few days |
